In early 1994, I started actively participating on various internet
lists that discuss topics relating to The Church of Jesus Christ of
Latter-day Saints. These internet discussion lists include hundreds
of members of the church all over the world. A 'post' is a submission
to the list which is then sent to every subscriber to that list. This
book contains a collection of many of the posts that I have submitted
to these internet lists, as we have discussed various gospel topics.
I decided to compile them into a single source because of the many
hours that I have invested in this activity. I did not want to lose
the research and study that I have participated in. I also wanted
an easy reference to use for future use since many of these topics
are discussed over and over again on the internet LDS lists.
The majority of these posts were originally submitted to the ZION
list. Others were submitted to the following lists: JOSEPH, LDS-NET,
ALMA-L, and SCRIPTURE-L.
I hope the reader will find some value in reading these posts.
I freely admit that mistakes have been made. At times, my logic may
be flawed. I haven't always presented both sides of an issue, but
sometimes may only present the support for the opinion that I have
on the issue.
You will find the character ">" preceding several comments. These
are anonymous comments from other people or are comments that I
inserted into the text to help the reader understand the context
of the discussion.
I'm grateful to my friends on the internet for the stimulating
discussions that have generated all of these posts. I would also be
very ungrateful if I didn't recognize that the Spirit has played an
important part in many of the writings contained in this book.
